More than 120 delicacies have been given a new ecological look.

Marblo Culinair, producer of fresh daily specials and part of the Willy Naessens Group, is doing its bit to combat environmental pollution.

Marblo Culinair, producer of fresh daily specials and part of the Willy Naessens Group, is doing its bit in the battle against environmental pollution.

About six months ago, Marblo switched to more ecological packaging.

"The use of plastic as packaging had become so natural in the food sector without thinking about the consequences. At Marblo, we did make that exercise. We started it a few years ago. It is not easy: finding the right partner, researching the effect on shelf life, adjusting some automatic processes, ... but we are proud that we have already switched 100% to this environmentally friendly packaging for half a year," says Veerle Naessens of Willy Naessens Food.

The new packaging is biodegradable and thus recyclable.
Another advantage... the packaging is both microwave and oven proof.

Marblo sells 15,000 culinary daily specials. Every week they produce 3,500 litres of soup.
